This entire last week we have had incredible weather. Friends that have been here for a while say that it's usually hotter by this time, but I'm loving the sun and the mid 70s. And with low humidity, it is perfection! On Saturday Chris took advantage of the beautiful weather with a 50 mile bike ride to Ikei Island and back. On Sunday we took advantage together by celebrating our anniversary a day early and heading out to do some more island exploring, with Rana in tow. We headed to the coast near Yomitan (an area 30 minutes NW of where we live). We went to Cape Zanpa. This is a popular beach/snorkeling/SCUBA location. Even though it is the start of Golden Week (a week long celebration of I don't know what), it wasn't ridiculously crowded and it was nice to see more Japanese people there than Americans. I know we're not ones to talk, but sometimes we just get sick of only seeing Americans. One local, or perhaps Japanese tourist from the mainland, actually asked if she and her daughter could pet Rana. It was nice to get a little interaction and Chris held the leash tight so Rana couldn't crush the adorable two year old. Here are some pictures; check out that water color!

When you have to go you look for the nearest thing. I guess there just wasn't a tree or bush available.
